O princípio da integralidade como norteador da formação do enfermeiro / The principle of integrality as guide to nurse formation

As transformações curriculares que os cursos de Enfermagem vivenciaram nas últimas décadas são fruto do processo de reformulação da saúde brasileira e da implantação do Sistema Único de Saúde. O enfermeiro é fundamental na promoção do cuidado integral ao indivíduo, população e comunidade, de vendo as Instituições de Ensino Superior direcionar a formação de profissionais que atendam aos princípios do SUS. A integralidade é definida como um conjunto de ações e serviços para atender ao ser humano e comunidade em todos os níveis de complexidade, entendendo o homem como um ser integral, indivisível e pertencente a um meio ambiente, social e econômico. Objetivo: identificar, na literatura nacional, como o princípio da Integralidade é abordado durante a graduação em Enfermagem. Método: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, foi utilizada a base de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Resultados: totalizou-se 19 publicações, categorizadas em: o princípio da Integralidade como norteador dos Projetos Político-Pedagógicos dos cursos de Enfermagem; contradições entre teoria e prática no ensino da Integralidade; dimensões pessoais da Integralidade. Conclusão: a Integralidade do cuidado deve pautar a formação do enfermeiro; seu desafio está em romper com ações verticalizadas e o modelo tradicional de ensino e buscar metodologias integradoras e participativas, promovendo diálogo com outras áreas do conhecimento e articulação entre ensino, serviço e comunidade. Dessa forma, a Integralidade sairá do plano conceitual e legislativo e assumirão papel de norteadora político-ideológica da formação do enfermeiro e do cuidado em saúde, contribuindo para a efetivação do Sistema Único de Saúde...

IntrOductIOn The curriculum transformations that the Nursing courses have undergone through the past decades are products of the process of reformulation of the Brazilian Health Service and the establishment of the Unified Health System (SUS). The nurse is crucialon the promotionof integral care to individuals, population and community, and the Higher Education Institutions mustdirect the formation of professionals that follow SUS’s principles. Integrality is defined as a set of actions and services to attend the human being and the community at all levels of complexity, conceiving man as an integral, indivisible being who belongs to a social and economical environment. Objectives to identify, on national literature, how the principle of Integrality is approached in Nursing Graduation courses. MethOds It is an integrative review of literature, which used the database from Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Results Nineteen publications were analyzed, organized by: the principle of Integrality as a guide to the Political-Pedagogical Projects of Nursing courses; Contradictions between theory and praxis on the teaching of Integrality; Personal Dimensions of Integrality. Conclusion: Integrality of care must lead nurse formation; its challenge lays on breaking with verticalized actions and the traditional teaching model, seeking integrative and participative methodologies, promoting the dialogue with other areas of knowledge, and providing articulation among teaching, service andcommunity.
